Daily logs by Constructable
Construction daily log software for general contractors
A daily report your super can finish from the truck. The weather is already on it, subs log their own crews, and yesterday's crews carry over instead of being retyped. Everyone on the job can use it because we do flat pricing with unlimited users.

Fast entry
Start from yesterday, not a blank form
Our construction daily log software does the typing your super would otherwise do at the end of the day, so the report gets written while the day is still fresh.
• Same crews as yesterday: repeat Personnel, Time Cards, Equipment, and Materials from the last log, then change what's different
• Weather: hourly conditions for the project's address, 6 AM to 6 PM, are already on the log
• Five deliveries in a row: Save and Add Another keeps the form open for the next one
• On site: add the log and photos from the Constructable app for iPhone, iPad, and Android

Subcontractor entry
Let subs log their own headcount
Stop calling around for manpower at 3 PM. Give your trade partners Limited Daily Log Entry and they record their own crews on your log.
• A sub's foreman: adds the day's workers, hours, notes, and photos for their own company
• Your log stays yours: subs don't see your notes, weather, delays, or other sections, and can only change the rows they entered
• Your super: sees every company's crew in one Personnel section, with each crew's total hours worked out for you

Phone calls
Put jobsite phone calls on the record
The call where the owner's rep said to hold the pour belongs on that day's log, not in someone's memory.
• Log the call: inbound or outbound, who was on it, the number, and the time
• Upload the recording: Constructable transcribes it, and you can search the transcript
• Skip the write-up: leave the summary blank and AI writes one from the recording
• Across projects: calls print in the daily log PDF, and the Phone Calls report covers every project

Delays and safety
Keep the record a claim needs
When a delay turns into a dispute months later, the daily log is the evidence. Constructable records the cause, the impact, and the photos in the same place.
• A rain day: pick the delay types that apply, such as Weather, Owner Directive, or Waiting on RFI/Submittal, and write which crews stopped and for how long
• Looking back: the daily log list flags every day with a delay, so you can find the bad days in a month at a glance
• Toolbox talks and near misses: write them in Safety and attach the sign-in sheet
• Photos where they belong: attach the delivery ticket to the delivery, and the PDF prints it under Delivery Photos instead of mixing it in with site photos

Custom fields
Ask for what this project needs
A tilt-up job and a hospital fit-out don't need the same daily report. Set up the log for each project without changing the others.
• Sections nobody fills in: hide them on this project, and hide fields like Hours Worked or Notes too
• Details crews keep typing into notes: add custom fields to Personnel, Equipment, Materials, Deliveries, Dumpsters, Inspections, and Phone Calls, and make them required
• Something the log has no home for: add your own section, such as site visitors or concrete pours
• New projects: a project created from a template starts with the same daily log setup

Distribute and report
Send it out and report on it
Email the day's report to the owner and architect from the log, and keep a record of who got it and when.
• End of the day: distribute the log to your project's default recipients, choose the photo sections, and review the email before it goes
• The owner asks about last month: download up to 60 days of logs as one ZIP, or add every log to a closeout package
• Portfolio review: organization reports cover personnel, equipment, materials, deliveries, inspections, and phone calls across every project
• Labor cost: time cards on the log carry cost codes and cost types, and can sync to Non-Committed Costs
